This comes from the lona Community team and as I always take to their presentations at the Greenbelt mainstage Sunday service, I figured this disc would be a cut above your common or garden production-line praise. To a certain extent it was. Like any album though and particularly praise orientated ones, the listener will inevitably take to some songs more than others. On this I preferred the full choral pieces to those with solo parts. Being a folkie, I always have a soft spot for vocal harmonies a la Steeleye Span and this bunch have got them down perfectly. Also, Wild Goose's arrangements are accomplished and could easily be adapted for church use. Thankfully, an accompanying songbook is available, and here lies my main thought on this CD - although you can listen to it as an album, I feel it works best as a resource for worship groups. But see what you think...let some Hebridean air into your worship.
