No one seems to enjoy recording Christmas albums like Amy as in the past she's clocked up three yuletide projects. In fact, if you have any of Amy's old seasonal albums you need to tread warily when approaching this set as it's mainly tracks compiled from 'A Christmas Album' (1983), 'Home For Christmas' (1992) and 'A Christmas To Remember' (1999). Although dished up with considerable schmaltz, oldies like "Grown Up Christmas List", "Breath Of Heaven" and "Tennessee Christmas" still retain considerable charm. For the serious Amy Grant fan, there are three new songs produced by Brown Bannister: "I Need A Silent Night" (co-written with Chris Eaton), a special cameo from daughter Corrina and "Baby It's Christmas", a song Grant co-wrote with country music star husband Vince Gill. Be warned though: her careering-tempoed version of "Jingle Bells" is, to put it mildly, an acquired taste.

Product Description
Christmas music is synonymous with Amy Grant. Her classic arrangements, stirring original Christmas songs, TV specials, and widely attended Christmas tours over the years have all contributed to over five million Christmas albums sold.

In 2007, all three of Amy’s classic Christmas albums were digitally re-mastered and sold over 50,000 albums in just three months. This year, Amy is pulling out all of the stops with a new collection of the best Christmas songs from all 3 catalogue albums plus four new recordings.

The four new recordings are Jingle Bells, I Need A Silent Night (co-written with Chris Eaton who also penned Breath Of Heaven), Count Your Blessings, and Baby, It's Christmas (a duet with Vince Gill).

A nice collection of Christmas music for the holiday season; luv her Barbra Streisand rendition of "Jingle Bells". The lyrics to "I Need a Silent Night" co-written with Chris Eaton (a long time collaborator with songs), are soo practical, who cannot relate to them!:great new song Amy and Chris. The photographs of Amy for the cd are radiant, and Amy looks sooo happy!(remind me of the "Simple Things" cd photos) It is sooo good to see Amy smiling! Amy chose her favorites from her 3 Christmas projects and added 4 new songs to this collection; also at this time Amy had a 2 cd set issued of 20th Anniversary of 1988 "Lead me on" cd. I luv the song "A Christmas to Remember" and her first "Tennessee Christmas". GOD Bless! -Don
