Amy Grant talks to Record Collector magazine
THE AUGUST issue of Record Collector magazine has published an interview with Amy Grant in which she talks about her first studio set for 13 years, 'The Me That Remains'. She said, "I didn't set out to make a new record. There were a couple of songs that I wanted to capture in the studio and I asked my friend Mac MacAnally if he would help. We had so much fun that we decided to book another session and record more songs, then a few more. I've never stopped touring and it's important to offer people something of my perspective of now. It's a natural extension of where I am as a woman and a songwriter. It's a collection that I felt strongly about putting out into the world."
Record Collector also ask the 65 year old singer "What next?" She
responded, "One day at a time. I wake up, go outside and take deep
breaths and recite Psalm 23 and the Lord's prayer then take the day as
it comes." ![]()
