Insomniacs - buy this album!! It should be marketed as a cure. I'm afraid that I can't think of any reason for the re-issue of 1984's 'Let God Arise' and 1985's 'Magnificent Warrior' albums other than to milk the lucrative "worship market" for a few more readies. Ok, you do get two albums for the price of one. But you also get banal, dated arrangements, grating singing from GK, and while we're at it - what happened to the bottom end? There are some outstanding songs of course. "You're Alive", "For This Purpose", "God Is Good", timeless classics, songs that go with a bit of oomph at our church but have the potency of Perrier water on these renditions. If, like me, on the rare occasions that you willingly listen to a worship album you do so to enter into worship yourself, then this album will be a big disappointment. On the positive side, "The Servant King" still gets the old goose-bumps going ...
