Producer Don Moen writes, "This recording contains some of the greatest 'moments of hope' in our company's history. These songs have consistently been 'high points' for me personally during my 'low points'. People all around the world have written to us with testimonies of how God used these songs to carry them through difficult situations." I quote these words at length because I really struggled with this album. The 11 songs are delivered by a verity of unnamed artists in a slow, soft, reflective style that might accompany a time of reflection or ministry during a church service. Nothing wrong with the sentiment or, of course, the US production quality. I just found the whole album dreary - slushy MOR played with the minimum of originality. I was inspired and encouraged by the testimonies printed in the CD liner, but found the music itself superfluous.
