Keith is undoubtedly one of British Christendom's most underrated musicians as anyone who's heard him in concert playing with artists like Margaret Becker will know. His occasional albums have been well worth searching out too and thanks to a Swiss record company he's emerged with a fresh coat of paint and a new band who play blues rock and blues like seasoned troupers. Though essentially a secular set, Keith's faith still shows through and the haunting piano-led "Higher Ground" is a beautiful closer. But mainly it's the scorching axe of Mr Thompson which propels things forward and with the effervescent opener "Cat Scratch Crazy", the jaunty "I'm Tore Down" complete with raunchy horn section and the mean and dirty "Reduce Me To Tears" this is timeless music from a big talent.
