These are the kind of compilations I like - an entirely new set of songs that doesn't try to cash-in. What you have here is a resource for worship leaders and worshippers. The opener is a tune called "Glorious" by Johnny Parks which although a good song bears more than a passing resemblance to a Keane number (works for me!) - from there on we have a further 19 songs (some live, some studio) from a variety of contemporary worship leaders and covering all the styles you'll hear in UK churches at the moment. Standouts for me were "Most Holy Father", a Chris Eaton tune with an almost ambient feel, "Worship God" from Geraldine Latty has a real '70s funk vibe and "God So Loved The Whole World" from Godfrey Birtill which is a real worship-stomper of a number! I enjoyed being led by Godfrey in worship at the Good News Crusade this summer and can testify that he is a worship leader with a heart inclined heavenwards. I think the live numbers work a bit better in this set as they always spend a bit too long polishing the studio recordings in the ProTools but that aside I enjoyed this compilation and am bugging my worship leader with a couple of the songs already!
