Anyone who has followed the career of the illustrious worship leader Mr Wickham will know that Cross Rhythms have long been supporters of the dear man and remember those early years when, as one of the countless independent artists, he would make annual trips to minister at the West Country's Creation Fest. So it is with a certain sadness that we note that this powerfully anointed man of worship should have done the very predictable thing and recorded a Christmas album (in fact, this is his second, he released 'Songs For Christmas' in 2011). If you like Phil's voice and were after stripped-down versions of songs like "Angels We've Heard On High", "What Child Is This", and "Away In A Manger", you may have already rushed out and bought this item. But for me, this has to be a disappointing musical exercise.
