The second part in the series of 'Rain' EPs from Australian mega church Planetshakers starts off with the worship collective's now trademark synthesis of chart pop, dance and funk gracing the thundering "Only Way" - a stall-setting song of devotion to Jesus written by music director Joth Hunt during a recent battle with cancer. "I Choose You" follows in a similar EDM-tinged vein before proceedings drift into more familiar modern worship territory with lengthy slower numbers like "Take Your Place" and "Anything Can Happen" lacking the individuality required to stand out from the crowd. Whilst there is no doubting the group's combined musical talent and their God-centered approach, maintaining the innovation of the first two numbers would have made this pleasing enough live worship release really sparkle.
