Britain's premier Christian panpipes player Simon Bernard-Smith is the featured musician here even if he doesn't get a front sleeve billing. But then, as all the dear chap's previous album titles seemed to be endless permutations of the words "Praise" and "Panpipes" maybe they thought a front sleeve credit might only confuse things further. Simon plays with his usual expertise and producers Chris Norton and Andy Green do their usual sterling job in putting synths, guitar and elegant piano around that most wistful of instruments (wistful when it's in the high register - on those occasions when Simon unwisely goes to the low one the effect is uncomfortably like someone blowing down the end of a household utensil). On the whole though, this is another acceptable offering from a fine musician, while his rendition of "We Are More Than Conquerors" by Vince Ericksen is a very nice opener and a tribute to American worship leader Vince, now back in the US but who, with wife Anna, had led worship at a UK church attended by Simon.
