Quick And The Dead are a unique band. Three brothers and a sister from a traditional conservative Christian background who have survived 10 years surfing the Australian secular rock scene. With 1500 shows under their belt; playing support for Dire Straits, Hothouse Flowers et al and attracting management from Midnight Oil's Gary Morris for the last two years Quick And The Dead are a surprise find. Meaty songs hitting meaty issues with a message for the churched and unchurched world. Not overtly Christian lyrically but blunt and decisively positive. Most obvious track for Christian radio is the manic, harp driven "Jesus Was A Jew". A passionate attack on the distorted "Christian" views of KKK's, white supremists and racists. "So if you say you love him but hate anyone not like you/I hope you are aware my friend/that Jesus was a Jew...He was a big nosed, unemployed, nigger-loving Jewboy/Who died for me and you." Well worth checking out and if you get to see them at Flevo this summer look out for the "glows in the dark" drum solo and the rubber raft audience surf. Unique.
