Another gripping gospel set from the superlative Mr Whitfield. From the opening big choir hand clapper Edwin Hawkins' "Glorify The Lord" through to the closer "My Faith Looks Up To Thee" with guest vocalist brother Larry Whitfield, there is the usual blend of traditional gospel sounds with just the right touches of funk and soul in the accompaniments to contemporise the sound without sanitising it. One standout is "Lift Those Hands And Bless The Lord" with another awesome guest vocalist in Vanessa Bell Armstrong while Mr Whitfield's hoarsely soulful baritone and deft choir and chorus arrangements are continually just right.
