This delightful musical event is the product of 1994 Victory In Praise (VIP) Music And Arts Seminar. Hosted by the 'Prince Of Gospel', with gravelly tones and rich persona, it's none other than John P Kee. Oh! And what a gourmet! For starters it's "Jesus, He's My King", a scrumptious duet - JP Kee and an extra special topping - the Lady of Aretha Franklin mould, Vanessa Bell Armstrong. The main course is huge sounds, lush harmonies, impressive lead vocals, served with scriptural support that enriches the soul. My choice in a dish is the sauce - simmering throughout is the talent of Ivan Powell. He's pianist on this 10-track line up and also vocally served with JP Kee on the title track. (For the connoisseur also catch Ivan's 'BB' sounding vocals on Deleon Richards' 'My Life' album). Excusing the merely palatable and capturing the fuller flavoured tunes, including "It's Time", "Sho' Nuff" and "When Morning Comes", excite your taste buds with this delicious musical dish. Serving suggestion: simply pop it into your CD player and switch to high volume for approx 54 minutes to enjoy the full flavour of this 'VIP' experience. (Mmmmm!)
