Sarah: That's awesome stuff. So I guess one of the things as well that people can do for yourselves, over this period, is pray for you and the team?

Tony: Oh that would be lovely thank you.

Sarah: People have now got a bit of an idea of where the shoe boxes go; what kind of ongoing support happens as a result of you being able to gain entry through the shoe boxes. They may just be now thinking, actually this is something that I really want to get involved in. What kind of things can they do?

Operation Christmas Child: Sending a message of love to kids
around the world

Tony: Well first of all go and get yourself a shoe box, fill it full of your love and whatever you can get into that shoe box. There's three categories. There's two to four, five to nine and ten to fourteen. Please put a cuddly toy in; they love cuddly toys because these kids have never had a present. They don't know what a cuddly toy is. I've visited children of 16 and 17 years and they had a shoe box a few years down the line and they've still got their cuddly toy. They still hold it at 17.

Sarah: I'm conscious that there must be a cut off point that you can take boxes; because obviously you need to start loading up lorries and making that massive journey. What's the cut off point so people need to get their shoe boxes in by?

Tony: We are very flexible on that - but it's usually towards the end of November. End of November is usually the last cut off date.

Sarah: Fabulous stuff. Well we wish you a very Happy Christmas and a very successful Operation Christmas Child.

Tony: Thank you very much. CR
