This three disc box set sees the 'Unleashed' releases from 2006 to 2008 bundled together in a 36 song feast of uptempo and dance-tinged versions of a variety of worship songs by Brenton Brown, Chris Tomlin and Vicky Beeching amongst many others. Mark Edwards is a talented producer and the whole collection gives out the feeling that a lot of thought and skill has gone into this project. This is not least thanks to contributions from top notch vocalists such as Lou Fellingham, Jill Mercer and George Mhondera as well as guitar virtuoso Dan Wheeler and the multi-instrumental attributes of Edwards himself. Discs two and three in the collection (subtitled 'The Pulse' and 'Raise The Roof' respectively) arguably work better than the slightly faltering initial album and pleasing re-workings of contemporary worship material such as Hillsong's "Blessed", Brenton Brown's "Hosanna" and David Crowder's "O Praise Him" will bring these songs and their God-glorifying message to a younger demographic. If you previously purchased the individual albums, it may be frustrating to find this cut price reissue on the shelves merely a year after the last release but this is nonetheless a cost effective way for younger listeners to get their hands on above par Christian music.
