For years, the worship arm of UK church conglomerate New Wine has been consistently offering up reliable releases recorded at various praise events across the country and this latest collection is no exception. As ever, New Wine have employed a roster of different lead vocalists with Chris Lawson Jones, Lauren Harris, Nick Herbert, Abi Johnson and Alfred Nygren all taking two songs each to ensure that proceedings are kept varied. Set to a capable musical backdrop, each singer succeeds in passionately communicating love for God with the likes of "Yes And Amen", "Nothing But Grace" and "What A Saviour" being cases in point. Competent as the execution of this release is, all involved are careful not to push boundaries and there's therefore not a lot to differentiate it from the mass of modern worship releases that are currently on the market. Nonetheless, the memorable Worship Central anthem "Stir A Passion" - sung here by its co-writer Nick Herbert - sits nicely in this set despite its relative familiarity and an acoustic studio version of the title track featuring Oxford-based songsmith Tom Read adds a nice finishing touch.
