Volume eight eh? I don't think they do themselves any favours by giving this impression of yet another worship recording in an unending series. They definitely don't do justice to this one because it does stand out from the standard "production line praise" releases you may have heard in recent years. Here we have 12 songs (some 1 knew, others were new) recorded at the New Wine Bible week last year. Messrs Redman and Ruis of course excel in leading what sounds like a very lively congregation -I wished I'd been there after the first listen. Of the new numbers here "Every Move I Make' jumped out as a gem and "Men Of Faith" (the Delirious? song) is a very powerful rendition. If for no other reason than to encourage some fresh sounds it would be worth buying this to give to your worship leader, it really does combine good sing along rock with Jesus-centred worship. My only criticism is in the production - I know it's a live worship album but if you have a handful of fine backing singers, why have the congregation so prominent in the mix and harmony vocals so absent? But having said that it is an excellent worship album and if you only buy one occasionally then this would be a good choice.
