That extraordinary London event Soul In The City was, as the sleeve for this album declares, "a celebration of Christ on the streets" and this album, featuring as it does CD Rom footage of that unique time of worship when young people literally danced in adoration of the King in Trafalgar Square's fountains, is a fine memento of the mission. Tim Hughes with his excellent band offer strong renditions of "You" and "Giver Of Life". Not all of Hughes' compositions here are of that same standard while Mark Beswick & Power Praise's rendition of Rick Founds' "Lord I Lift Your Name On High" sounds more like a theatric caricature of black gospel than anything else. But Onehundredhours are excellent on their two songs and the Hillsong United spontaneous song "Spirit" is moving if not exactly tuneful.
