Reprising their roles from last year the music is fronted by Sam Bailey, Tom Field and Beth Croft, who cover some recent gems (particularly former Soul Survivor star Matt Redman's "10,000 Reasons") but also present their own material. The album opens with Sam's somewhat limp title track before moving into dance-rock anthem "Let It Be Known", led by Tom and penned by Tim Hughes, et al. The rhythm continues into a rendition of the Jesus Culture hit "Your Love Never Fails", which doesn't quite strike with the same energy as the original, or its preceding track. However the worship led by Beth does rise to higher altitudes, her voice soars in "Cornerstone" and Aaron Keyes' "Sovereign Over Us", though her standout track was the passionate ballad "Say The Word". Again those increasingly popular folksters Rend Collective Experiment make an appearance but only deliver two numbers, "My Lighthouse" and favourite of mine "Alabaster", though their contribution was over too soon - it wouldn't have hurt to have had a couple more from them! Having said that, these 18 tracks give a good attempt at recreating the summer magic of still spiritually vibrant events.
