The DVD is split up into three main parts. A featurette called Soul Survivor To Go, four talks by Mike Pilavachi, and a selection of songs from the event. The featurette can be watched on its own (at a running time of 56 minutes) or in chapters. The presenter takes us on a trip around the Soul Survivor 2008 event interviewing leaders and young people, about issues such as worship, the Bible and social justice. The main theme of this documentary is "What do we do about our faith once the event is over and we have to go back home to our ordinary lives?" The talks by Mike Pilavachi are taken from the same event and are featured briefly in the documentary. They claim to explore the "Grand Themes" of the Bible and are aimed at getting young people engaged with Scripture. The different talks run from 30-50 minutes and are quite intense, so it is worth making notes and pausing as you watch. The three songs which are used in the documentary are simply cut straight from the main feature and presented as another menu option. The songs must be watched individually, which is a bit disappointing as there is a break in-between as you click on the next menu item. An option to watch all three together would have been welcome. Overall this is a good DVD package which has a bit of something for everyone, though it is probably more relevant to anyone who has been to Soul Survivor.
