Jonathan Bellamy spoke with Christians In Politics

Continued from page 3

Jonathan: You are trying to encourage people to get involved in politics. What are the first steps for them?

Zoe: I think if you are thinking about which political party you align most to, have a look on the website. See what they stand for. I think looking at the historical roots is really important. All three of the main parties we represent have deep historical roots, which I'm sure will resonate with people. If you are a Christian, the first steps could be joining the Christian groups within the political parties, we are very keen for that. As Andy has said go to the web and follow a link to our page. Also joining the main political parties; it's not much and they are desperate to grow their membership and get people involved and that is what our democracy is about, getting people involved.

Elizabeth: If people are prepared to make the short journey to London on 13th November, Christians In Politics together with a think tank called Theos are doing a 'God in Government' seminar in London. It's free, so you can come down for that. That will help you explore firstly what is the role of government and then it will break into the different political parties and what they believe. So, it's there, it's free; just pay your train fare. Contact us and you can come to that.

Jonathan: I presume those details are on the Christians In Politics website.

Andy: Yes, you can pick those up at www.christiansinpolitics.org.uk CR
