Subtitled 'Reflections on the wisdom of the book of John'. What a wonderful surprise this book is. The most sensitive of songwriters shows here a breathtaking new side to his gifts. He has provided a brilliant contemplation of John's Gospel, not a dusty academic treatise on the original Greek but a living, breathing and on occasions richly poetic set of observations inspired by the text. If you had to pigeon hole it you could call it a "devotional commentary" but forget the formula, read it and find fresh life in John's Gospel inspired by Michael's vivid musings that allow the reader to "be there" with Jesus. A wonderful, inspiring book.
