A re-issue of a 1989 release, on which Michael is joined on vocals by Betsy Hernandez, and whilst the perceived aim of the album is to coerce our little kiddywinkers into the Land of Nod at the end of the day (or even in the middle of the night}, there are some good Biblical truths in the music that could easily connect with parents as well. Admittedly most of it is very sugary indeed, but "He'll Wipe Away Your Tears", "Even The Darkness" and "Dreaming Jacob's Dream" are thoughtful, scriptural, well-crafted pieces in true Card style, which dare I say even give us an insight into the feelings in the Father heart of God for all his children, whatever their age. Despite the antiquity of the material, still an album worth considering, but not recommended for in-car use!
