Michael's Covenant Artists label may be new but his sound, that subtle mix of plaintive acoustic singer/songwriter, classical orchestrations and inspirational lyrics rooted firmly in the Word, remains the same. This, the latest of his series of Bible explorations, takes the book of Revelation as its inspiration and there are many fine moments as he takes us through those apocalyptic End Time visions. There are two outstanding tracks, "To The Overcomers" with a delightful melodic lilt, and "Salvation" which really does come up with a surprise in that it features a black gospel choir (Veritas) doing backups. It works as well! Michael remains one of the most consistent and biblical crafters of song and this album maintains his own high standards.
