This album has something for every rock fan, the quiet acoustic vs heavy guitar sandwich on "Surround Me"; sonorous ballad with exquisite lyric on "Sing Over Me” and Cutting Edge-like acoustic standard of "I Will Sing". The title track is a good strong'un also. The album is a quality production, good clear vocals which are easily caught with good musical arrangements - an interesting variety of sounds without becoming a sampled mish-mash of the latest sound bites. This enhanced CD gives you guitar chords and lyric sheets for the songs making it good value for worship groups, although I don’t know how realistically some of the tracks would translate to the average group, especially some of the intros. Like other Vineyard albums, a selection of worship leaders take it in turns giving a good balance of male and female lead vocals. The album begins strongly (a healthy dose of rhythmic distorted and thrashed guitar) with “Sacrifice”, focussing on a desire to be holy and set apart to the Holy One; the final track echoing the Holy One theme with a mellower anthem, “Risen One”, played mostly on keyboard with some (mostly acoustic) guitar. A good album, not necessarily an earthmover but quality none the less.
