This collection from Maranatha! Music features 10 of the top worship songs around today. However, let's be clear - they are not sung by the original artists but instead by one of the faceless aggregations of session singers that for decades Maranatha have been assembling to record worship music. There is a live worship feel to these songs, and to be fair, the songs chosen are good, popular choices to include on a worship collection. There isn't anything particularly special, unique or original about the recordings, but the voices featured are powerful and treat the songs competently enough. "You Are My King (Amazing Love)" would have to be a highlight as the lead singer, Tommy Walker, brings almost a soulful take to the song. Hillsong's "From The Inside Out" is also given a powerful workout, featuring some nice electric guitar. All in all, a reasonable album of worship covers.
