Yet another over-produced, over-rated, let's all sing together and sound sweet, praise and worship tape. It's a Maranatha sampler, presumably compiled to endue you to purchase more of the same. Yes, the musicians are good and yes the singers have good voices with some nicely arranged harmonies. But it is manufactured rather than inspired and after a while each song becomes all to much samey, clinical and predictable. They are nice songs and the words are fine, it is refreshing to hear who they are actually singing about - Jesus - but it deeply lacks true conviction and for the sake of musical excel­lence, feeling and anointing are lost. Why tickle Christians' ears when the purpose of praise and worship is to exalt the Lord our God, not strike apathy into the heart of the listener. But if it's background music you want, with good musicianship and nice singing that's easy on the ears - this one is for you.
