This collection dips beneath the surface of big-name practitioners to highlight some of the quality material emanating from little local guys and gals. Much of the fare presented here is, however, very familiar sounding, being highly influenced by the now standard West Coast easy listening sound. So, nothing radical or demanding, but on the whole an enjoyable pleasing set of good songs, some of which deserve a place in your local repertoire. Good soloists too, Rick Muchow handles the gentle rock'n'roll of "He Arose" very capably, and Michelle Wagner again proves to be one of the classiest songstresses around. So, no goodies for righteous rockers, but a welcome addition to the majority's P&W collection. This is the second release of a very welcome on-going series featuring lesser-known composers.
