There was a time when praise and worship like this had a bad name - often featuring below average songs with below average musicians. Praise albums were hastily put together just to get anything out. These days that still happens in some cases but thankfully the people who invest the time and money into such productions are far more aware of the quality required. Such is the case with those Maranatha people. Following on from an excellent '20 Years Of Hope' (kind of a P&W Greatest Hits) they've produced a superb album which, although it sometimes sounds a bit samey, demonstrates some compelling musicianship. The title track is by far the best, moving vocals combined with lovely playing bring out the best of the Donna Adkins composition. Elsewhere "Jesus, You Are Lord" is filled with emotion and "Rock Of My Salvation" (no, not "Jesus Is The Rock Of My Salvation") is worth a listen too. Pleasant listening well produced.
