Children's worship album creators have had a hard job pleasing Cross Rhythms music critics over the years so it's good to note that in their original solo guises all three of the discs that make up this reissue package were given an enthusiastic thumbs up from the assigned reviewers. And rightly so. The 48 songs that make up the three CD set were written by a host of some of the best kids' songwriters in the UK and beyond - including Doug Horley, Nick and Becky Drake, Simon Perry and various Vineyard and Hillsong writers. So there's fantastic diversity across the board in terms of sounds and styles used; a variation that gives the set a real sense of freshness and vitality - you can never guess what's coming next. Mixture in song type too - including a few surprise "grown up" favourites, such as Tim Hughes' "Beautiful One" and Tomlin's "Holy Is The Lord". Also a few lovely tunes in a more pensive mood, not least Trevor Roger's "Every Second". A true worship feast to help kids grow in faith and enjoy themselves at the same time.
