Spring Harvest - Praise Mix 1995: It's A Small World

Thanks to ICC, producer Paul Burton and an assortment of quality guests the annual Spring Harvest youth praise album is finally beginning to display the same edge that the alternative worship pioneers have been showing. Unlike previous albums there's little here, thankfully, that would sit comfortably in the big tent SH celebrations. Standouts are a neo-punk version of Vineyard's "Light The Fire Again" and a kicking rendition of "Hold On", a standout number from the Late Late Service. The one big disappointment is that there are one or two tracks slipped in from previously released albums (Derek Bond, Jonny Baker And Jon Birch). Come on ICC, let's have no more of that misleading packaging which has besmirched Kingsway's praise and worship releases for so long. But let's not quibble, there are some gems on this set.
