Spring Harvest/Elevation Records have long been the number one source for children's ministry in Britain and this release demonstrates they're unlikely to be challenged by anyone else soon. Expertly produced by keyboard maestro Mark Edwards and with Sam Cox and Jen Jarvis providing the vocals this is a tip top selection of well-crafted newies, many penned by well-known adult songsmiths like Sue Rinaldi and Cathy Burton along with Britain's premier kids' ministry man Doug Horley. I particularly liked Doug's song on the perils of self-absorption ("If life is just me, me, me/If life is just me, me, me/What a problem that'll be, be, be/Help me to see, see, see/That life must be about - who? - others!"). Other standouts are "The Word Of God" penned by Sue Rinaldi and Becky Frith; "Beautiful Day" co-written by another kids' music specialist Nigel Hemming; and a song which makes the profound spiritual point Jesus doesn't live in a caravan. Seldom has sound teaching been such fun.
