Spring Harvest are now well into their stride with their annual children's ministry releases and in engineer/producer Andy Harsant they have appointed a wise old head to keep the kiddies' recordings coming. Some of the songs emanate from children's specialists (Doug Horley, Nick & Becky Drake) and some are children-friendly renditions of Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Pete James et al. The end result is a sizzling, well-cooked album that brings a smile to the lips, praise to the voice and enjoyment to the ears. Musical genres range from rock "Sing And Shout", funk "Let It Be Known", electronic "Shine Like Stars" and even rap "Hi 5" amongst others so really something for everyone. The words are predominantly evangelistic, this will appeal to those looking to widen the range of praise songs available to church children's groups for fun, enjoyable communal worship with a sound message.
