Reviewed by Trevor Kirk It strikes me that a whole new growth industry has grown up in praise and worship circles, whereby record companies turn out compilations of previously released material in ever increasing numbers. This album is Vineyard's version of the genre, 14 best loved worship classics (to quote the sleeve), plucked from their Winds Of Worship, Touching The Father's Heart, Vineyard Cafe, Why We Worship and Acoustic Worship series. No quibble with the quality of the songs, included in the credits are a lot of the familiar old and new Vineyard names, including Brent Helming, Cindy Rethmeier, Terry Butler, Brian Doerksen and Eddie Espinosa, but fans will have all these albums already, so this can only be aimed at Vineyard newcomers, and not a bad place to start if truth be told. However, I'd always prefer something new rather than yet more recycling of back catalogue items however 'classic' they are.
