Yet another superb production from the Vineyard team. This is a quality, gutsy recording with plenty of singing guitars against mellow pads, the close vocal harmonies are all there and the mix moves from the simple to the rich and complex without seeming to bat an eyelid. Set one is particularly fresh and exciting, kicking off with "Lead Me To The Father", which storms into action with jangling acoustics and large drums (shades of 'Cutting Edge 3' in the arrangements and production I feel). Set two settles into more familiar Vineyard territory and unfortunately this set begins to dig into the boredom threshold with little variation in the arrangements. Overall. "My Delight" (track three) from set one was the highlight for me. My one other significant thought is that whilst this album is a good and in places passionate worship album, the songs on it do not have the easy singability (a la classic David Ruis or Brian Doerkson or Andy Park) that would warm a congregation's heart and in that way this album is fairly forgettable as a worship album! Songwriters take note!
