This features some marvellous basic renditions of a number of Vineyard favourites going back to 1987 by Canadian worship leaders Brian Doerksen, Andy Park, Brian Thiessen and Monique Tute. Doerksen's "Light The Fire Again" and "Refiner's Fire" and Park's "One Thing I Ask" and "Blessed Be The Name" are given acoustic renditions alongside songs by Craig Musseau, Brian Thiessen and Dan Wilt. A very simple and clear production features just acoustic guitars, upright bass, piano and some laid back percussion to provide an atmosphere which is extremely conducive to private worship or meditation. Although attempting to try and capture the idea of 30 people just gathering in the room to worship, the CD doesn't quite do this convincingly. There are bound to be some outtakes on a cutting room floor or editing computer somewhere. But this CD is perfect for a listener who just wants to hear some simplified versions of songs instead of listening to a 100-piece gospel choir and band on disc. The CD is also intended to be used as a worship resource for small groups, featuring easily printable song sheets and chord charts. A brilliant feature.

I would say that this album is the best ever manifestation
of Vineyard classic songs. Just listening to the very first
few seconds of "Refiner's fire" in this acoustic version
makes my hand shake when listening to the little words
"Purify my heart". As well as the ever beautiful song "One
Thing I Ask" in a very colourful acoustic performane.
The tracks order is very inspiring, songs follow each other
in a gradual manner. I consider this album to be the best
among the "wonderful" Home Again Series.
