Another in the Touching The Father's Heart series, this album is pretty typical of the genre. Every now and then, a long-running series like this will throw up a gem that appeals to those who wouldn't normally buy that kind of music, and, equally often, it produces the occasional dud. 'You Are In Control' falls into neither category; it's nothing special, but it isn't bad either. The real test of a worship album, particularly one containing new songs, is whether or not listening to it provides a genuine worship experience and whether it introduces any songs that you'd want to use yourself. This album passes both tests; it's certainly a pleasant listen and there are a couple of good songs on the disc that deserve wider circulation. But, this being Vineyard, the good songs are likely to crop up again on a compilation or live recording later, so you won't necessarily miss out by not owning this CD. If you like Vineyard Music, you'll like this, but it isn't going to appeal that much if you don't.
