This DVD is set in some simply stunning scenery! Recorded on location at Red Rocks amphitheatre, Colorado and with many scenic backgrounds, the album begins with a tribute to the local home state. The Gaither Vocal Band are in particularly good voice on several tracks, although "America, The Beautiful" might grate on a few British ears. Having said that, I must observe that this is one of the best Homecoming DVD's I have had the pleasure of watching, it is just a pity that a comedy spot from Taylor Mason detracts from the album. The singing of 18 year old Lauren Talley on "He's Alive" is particularly outstanding and the tribute to the late Hovie Lister is very moving. But undoubtedly the most outstanding track for me is "Sweet Holy Spirit" by The Isaacs with their wonderful harmonies on a great tune with bluegrass style backing. To sum up, if you only wanted to buy one Gaither Homecoming DVD, you would do well to make it this one, it really is very good.
