As usual with Gaither products, this is Southern gospel in the very broadest sense. As the video opens, one might be forgiven for thinking that it was just another Homecoming Friends creation. It isn't, but of course when looking closely at the Gaithers and the songs that they have written, it would be nigh on impossible to separate them from the Homecoming series and these are drawn on throughout the two hours. There is also historic footage of the Gaither Trio going back as far as 1968 and Bill s brother, Danny, plays a major part, though currently fighting serious illness. Other famous names come along to sing some of Bill and Gloria s songs. Among them Bob Cain, Jake Hess, Sandi Patty, and Jessy Dixon, who you might just catch doing a Jig but dont blink. Mark Lowry talks to Bill and Gloria in their home and there is quite a bit of humour, not a few tears, and several challenges. There are several excerpts from Billy Graham crusades; even one of a nine year old Amy Gaither singing a song of challenge to children. If you have ever wondered how I Just Feel Like Something Goods About To Happen, Because He Lives, Lets Just Praise The Lord, or The King Is Coming (plus many more) came to be written, this video will enlighten you. You will also learn how Bill used to milk cows and hear him talk about some of his failures. He even sings what he says is the worst song he ever wrote! Even that has a valid message. This is an interesting and informative video. The only reason that I haven t given this 10 out of 10 is that I think it might be a little boring to keep listening to the interviews. Buy it.
