This latest album in the Gaither Gospel Series live from Atlanta, Georgia, is very enjoyable from start to finish and represents very good value for money with 23 tracks and a running time of an hour. It starts with a very moving introduction which I assume is by Gloria Gaither, and apart from an appearance by Jessy Dixon, this is definitely Southern Gospel but with a distinctive country feel. There are several well known gospel artists represented including the Gaither Vocal Band, The Happy Goodmans, Jake Hess and the late J D Summer, who does a recitation of "The Farmer And The Lord", perhaps by then his singing voice had gone. There wasn't a track I disliked and several really appealed to me like the opener "On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand", and "I Believe He's Coming Back". But these are only the icing on what is an exceptionally good cake.

Product Description
Bill and Gloria Gaither and the Homecoming Friends gathered at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta in June 1998, from 10am until 10pm. In front of a crowd of about 40,000, they recorded two recordings for the celebrated Homecoming series and this is one of them. It includes a little nostalgia, with clips going back to the 1960s. A must have for all Gaither fans.
