Recorded before an enthusiastic audience at the Gaither Studios, this is 19 tracks and 66 minutes of Southern Gospel featuring the Gaither Vocal Band, various other folks including Tommy Funderbunk (who used to sing hard rock music in the '80s with a band called The Front - don't times change!), The Cathedrals Quartet and various members of the Gaither family. Frankly , Southern gospel quite often leaves me cold, especially the OTT bonhomie that seems to pervade the genre like the veins in a piece of Blue Stilton; and talking of cheese, there's enough here to top a thousand Big Macs. OK if you like that sort of thing, but the hootin' and hollerin' from the Renta-Mob grates, the persistent clapping along to nearly every song is profoundly irritating and the spoken tracks are pure corn. For die-hard fans only.
