Running for an exciting 90 minutes, this is the best of revival style Southern gospel, featuring the cream of the increasingly popular genre. Before an excitable and responsive audience at a 100 year old Methodist Camp Ground in Indiana called the Bethel Tabernacle, the programme is highly engaging. Hosting the affair is the extremely talented Christian comic Mark Lowry using Bill and Gloria Gaither as his straight man! Names of renown are too plentiful to mention but range from old timers such as James Blackwood to relative new comers such as The Martins. At times the anointing is very evident and must be reminiscent of revival times which we thought were past. Highlight songs are plentiful but sufficient to say they range from the peppy ditty "The Tabernacle" to the Fanny Crosby classic, "Tell Me The Story Of Jesus". Tim Spencer's western style biographical ballad, "The Wesley Brothers" will bring a wry smile to British faces!
